When white is worth it
If your artwork is photographic, pastel or uses a brand colour that has to match your website, the white liner is the difference between close and exact. Printed colours land within a Delta E of 2 on white stock.
The honest trade-off
White liners use a little more virgin fibre, so recycled content drops to 70–80%. It costs about 8 cents more per box at 2,000 units.
Finishes that suit it
Foil, spot gloss and soft-touch varnish all read best on white. Inside print stays on the kraft side, which many brands like as a contrast.
