Sprout & Oat's shipper that doubles as a display

A granola brand needed one carton that ships six jars safely and becomes a shelf display in the shop. One tear strip did both.

The box

B-flute shipper with tear-strip display front

The brief

Six 400 g jars per case, shipped to 140 independent shops. Glass, so it had to survive a pallet. And shops wanted a display tray, not another box to flatten.

The design

A B-flute regular slotted carton with a perforated tear strip across the front. Pull it, fold the lid back and the lower half becomes a printed tray.

The result

Zero broken jars in the first two shipments, and 38 shops now display the tray on the counter. The carton costs 9 cents more than their old plain case.

Reorders

Sprout & Oat reorder every six weeks with one tap. The forecast warns them 18 days before they run out.

Our stockists used to repack our jars onto their shelves. Now they pull a strip and the box is the display.
