How a cocoon coat is cut from one piece
One pattern, one seam down the back, and forty hours of hand finishing.

The Cocoon Coat has one pattern piece. It is laid on the double-faced wool as a single shape and cut in one pass.
The seam
There is one seam, down the centre back. The two faces of the cloth are split by hand along every edge and folded in on themselves, which is why the coat has no lining and no visible stitching.
Each coat takes around forty hours in the atelier. We make them in runs of thirty.
