Caring for bias-cut satin

Hang it long, steam it gently, and never fold a bias hem.

Bias-cut silk grows when it hangs. That is part of how it moves, and it is also why it needs a little care.

Three rules

Store it on a padded hanger, never folded. Steam from the inside at a distance. Take it to a cleaner who knows silk, and ask them not to press the hem.
