Tern Audio
Launch site for Tern’s first headphones. A scroll-driven teardown of the T1 helped sell out the first production run in nine days.

A launch site you can take apart.
01 Challenge
Tern had built lighter headphones than anyone in their class and no way to show it. Their spec sheet looked like every other brand’s.
02 Approach
We modelled the T1 in 3D from Tern’s CAD files and let visitors scroll it apart: shell, drivers, battery and cushions, each part weighed and named.

03 Build
A WebGL teardown that holds 60 fps on a mid-range phone, a pre-order flow, and a set of launch films rendered from the same scene.

04 Outcome
The first production run of 8,000 units sold out in nine days, and visitors spent an average of 3 minutes 40 on the page.

People sent the teardown to each other. That was the campaign.
