Background

Wavefold ships a coding agent inside its IDE. Early users loved it but complained that it re-asked the same setup questions every morning.

Implementation

Repo conventions are written as memories scoped to the repository, and personal preferences as memories scoped to the developer. Recall merges both.

Outcome

Clarifying questions per session fell 4.1x, and weekly active usage grew 62% in the quarter after launch.

It stopped asking which test runner we use. That alone made the team trust it with bigger changes.
