The problem

Kestrel’s inspection robots visit hundreds of industrial sites a month. Each visit began with a slow re-mapping pass, and operators re-entered the same preferences on every job.

What they built

Site layouts, hazards and operator preferences are written as memories scoped to the site and the operator. Recall runs as the robot’s route is planned.

Results

Re-mapping time per site fell 52%, and operators stopped filling in the same pre-job checklist.
