ELECTRONIC PRESS KIT, UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2026
PRESS KIT
Nell Carrow writes songs that sound like the drive home: big skies, small rooms, the last hour of daylight. Her new album Weather for Two is out 29 January 2027.
Nell grew up in Whitby and learned to play on her grandmother’s upright piano, writing her first songs about the coast road to Scarborough. She moved to Leeds at nineteen and spent five years playing pubs and folk clubs before Lantern, a home recording, was picked up by late-night radio in 2023.
The Salt Roads EP followed in 2024, made with a borrowed four-track and a church choir, and took her on the road with her first band. Weather for Two was recorded over three weeks in a farmhouse outside Hebden Bridge with producer Ivo Brandt, and is the first record she has made with the full five-piece live band.
