Oda Cerâmica
Name, logotype and packaging for a stoneware studio in Marvila. Every colour in the system is sampled from a glaze test tile fired in their own kiln.
Client
Oda Cerâmica, Lisbon
Role
Naming, identity, packaging, online shop
Duration
8 weeks
Year
2025

An identity mixed from the studio’s own glaze tests.
01 Challenge
Oda had eleven years of loyal local customers and no brand at all: hand-written labels, a borrowed name and a shop that only took cash. They wanted to sell to restaurants abroad without losing the feel of the workshop.
02 Approach
We photographed 160 glaze test tiles from their kiln and built the whole palette from them. The logotype is cut wide and heavy, like a stamp pressed into wet clay, and every box carries the glaze code of the piece inside.

03 Build
A Shopify store with a made-to-order flow for restaurants, a packaging system of six boxes, and a set of rubber stamps the team now uses on every piece that leaves the studio.

04 Outcome
Oda now supplies nine restaurants in four countries, and online sales cover a third of the studio’s revenue.
