The guide
Grand bay-and-gable houses, many split into flats, around the university. Few homes come up, so good ones sell in the first week.
The Annex is Toronto’s densest stretch of late-Victorian houses. Many were divided into three or four apartments decades ago, which is why rentals here are larger and older than anywhere else downtown.
Freeholds rarely reach the open market. When they do, they sell to buyers who have been waiting for years, often above asking and usually without conditions.
