The guide

East-end rows of Victorian semis and new mid-rises between Queen East and the Port Lands. Families move here for the schools and stay for Jimmie Simpson Park.

Leslieville grew up around the old brickworks and rail sidings east of the Don. Today it is mostly two- and three-storey semis on narrow lots, with a new ribbon of mid-rise condos along Eastern and Carlaw.

Buyers compete hardest for semis with parking on the side streets north of Queen. Renters find the best value in the converted lofts near Carlaw and Dundas, where one-beds still list under $2,600.
